'Celebrating Bath’s most famous resident' The perfect starting point to the exploration of Jane Austen’s Bath. The Centre offers a snapshot of life in Bath during Regency times and explores how living in this magnificent city affected Jane Austen’s life and writing. This is a permanent exhibition which features:

• Knowledgeable guides
• Regency costumes
• A unique period atmosphere
• An exclusive film starring Amanda Root
• A fabulous giftshop
• Award Winning Tea Rooms

After your visit why not relax and refresh yourself with a visit to our relaxing Tea Rooms. Enjoy a pot of real leaf tea, some home made cake or a delicious light snack. The air conditioned Tea Rooms are open to the public every day. We have achieved the Tea Guild’s ‘Tearoom of Distinction’ award. Also: You can now take a walking tour in the footsteps of Jane Austen. Our Centre guides will take you to the places Jane lived, walked, visited and shopped and the locations made famous in her two Bath novels Northanger Abbey and Persuasion. Every Saturday and Sunday at 11am throughout the year. Walks start at KC Change in the Abbey Churchyard

Opening hours: All year 9.45am-5.30pm Winter (Nov-Feb) 11am-4.30pm. July and August late opening Thursday to Saturday until 7.00pm.
