3 Theatre Royal Bath
Built in 1805, the Theatre Royal Bath is one of the oldest and most beautiful theatres in the country. Home to an exquisitely-restored main auditorium; the state-ofthe- art Ustinov Studio; and the much-acclaimed egg theatre for children, young people and their families, the Theatre Royal presents a year-round programme of excellent entertainment. In the Main House expect to find many productions prior to or post West End including drama, comedy, opera and dance, in addition to frequent Sunday concerts and a traditional Christmas pantomime. Interspersed with an inspiring diversity of drama, music and comedy, the Ustinov Studio presents seasons of brand new inhouse productions in repertory. The plays are completely new to British audiences and from both classic and contemporary writers. The egg will delight with an extravaganza of performances and workshops. The Theatre Royal also houses the Vaults Restaurant (for pre-show dining), the egg café (open throughout the day) and the historic Garrick's Head Pub, celebrated for its hearty, homemade menu of quality British fare. Backstage tours of the Theatre Royal take place on the first Wednesday and Saturday of each month.
